The Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation which was established in 2017 is one of the few international minifootball federations that could persuade the local government to recognise minifootball as a separate and independent sport. Our team’s efforts have resulted in the administrative and financial support of the government, which is critical for the development of minifootball in Azerbaijan. Today, the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation successfully organises the National League and operates the National Team. It is noteworthy that the recent success of the Azerbaijan National Team as the winner of the European Championship 2022 in Slovakia which was personally praised by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In addition, the recent triumph of Azerbaijani minifootball clubs: champions of the Business Cup 2023 in Turkey and champions of the Champions League 2024 in Poland demonstrates the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation’s serious and professional approach. Our federation’s contribution to the development of minifootball in Azerbaijan is exemplified by the primary and non-exhaustive details.
