On July 25, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, met with the President of the World Minifootball Federation (WMF) Filip Juda, the President of the European Minifootball Federation (EMF) Borislav Alexandrov and the vice-president of the organization Peter Kralik to discuss the interest of Azerbaijan of organizing the next EMF EURO.
Honorary President of AMF Orkhan Mammadov, said that after the European championship of Azerbaijan, interest in this sport has increased in our country.
At the meeting attended by the honorary president of Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation (AMF), Orkhan Mammadov, the president of the federation Taleh Nasibov and its vice-president Azer Huseynov, the development of the minifootball sport in Azerbaijan was discussed. It was reported that Azerbaijan’s minifootball team managed to attract the attention of the world by becoming the European champion.
Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov told the guests about the attention and care given to athletes in Azerbaijan. Expressing confidence that the visit program of international minifootball federations will be useful for Azerbaijani players, the minister noted that the country, like all international sports organizations, will pay special attention to mutual cooperation in minifootball. Farid Gayibov emphasized that the EMF events which will be held in Azerbaijan will be organized on the highest level.
