On Monday 25th August 2014, from 7 o´clock p.m. in Běchovice a friendly match between a selection of players from Prague a selection of players from Milovice took place. As was already announced, it was a preparation match for the forthcoming National League, because it replicated exactly the way that matches would be in the competition when it kicks off.

Prague had a better start to the match when Kounovský opened the scoring after three minutes. Six minutes before half-time Kubeš added a second goal. Five minutes into the second half Slunéčko raised the lead of Prague to 3: 0, but in 49th minute, the arrears were reduced by Milovice captain Vlačiha. Two minutes before the end of the match Kounovský added a fourth hit for the home team and at the last minute Fitzel closed the score to the final 5:1. The selection of Prague reached a clear victory, but the score for Milovice was a bit cruel, because it was not a fair reflection of the balance of play.

After the match the coaches of both teams, Petr Pícha for Prague and Petr Brejla for Milovice gave their thoughts on the game.

What are your opinions on the overall organization of the match and the first general impressions?

Pícha: “I will not evaluate the organization of this match, because I also participated in it, but I have to thank the management of the Prague Association of minifootball for the maximum support that has helped this match to happen. The aim was to provide a match of the best possible conditions, in particular in the field of quality of the pitch, lighting, quality of referees and the background facilities. Whether and how we did it, it must evaluate the rival, our guests from Milovice. First impressions I have are thoroughly positive, because we saw an interesting match, which also showed us where we have reserves and what needs to be improved. I would like to thank the referees for a professional approach to the match. We tried out a new thing is in the form of two referees and the experience was excellent. We are convinced that this contributed to a completely smooth process of the match, which was played really nicely and correctly.”

Brejla: “I’m fully satisfied with the organisation of the match and I thank our host. During the negotiations of the game I had several requirements, in which I was fully satisfied. I would also like to thank the referees for this match. It was a professional performance, which in the future will certainly serve as an example to other matches in the National League.

Are you satisfied with the result of the match?

Pícha: “I am more satisfied with the result than with the performance of my team. It is not  good when the best player was actually our goalie! When the score was 3: 0 we really played very casually but received a wake up call when our opponents pulled one back. I know that we have a team that is able to play a much better game than this and perform at a much higher level. Even so, I would like to thank the players, because we won and remain still undefeated .”

Brejla: “The result really does not match the process of the game. However, we deserved it and for us it is a slap in the face. We all, including me and the whole management, have to accept the result and learn from it. We can´t do anything else. But we must not stop believing, we must keep our good squad and build on the game, which we have acquired, and which characterizes us. That’s combativeness,  deployment and joy of the game. Today we didn´t rejoice, even when we scored a goal.”
