1.In the last WMF World Cup, you finished 4th. Do you count that as a success?
Considering that this was our first World Cup, 4th place can be considered satisfactory.

Our national team is undergoing a generational change. Many of our European champions have already finished their national careers. Our team may need some experience.
3.What is the main goal for your home World Cup and what would you consider a success?
Minimum goal to play in the final, maximum goal to be winner of the World Cup.
4.There will undoubtedly be massive support from Azerbaijani fans in Baku. Is the team ready to handle this kind of atmosphere?
Of course, playing at home has its own negative effects. For example, the fans who gather in the arena will expect victory from the team in every match, and this factor can create pressure on the team. I hope Inshallah the team can cope with this, we’ll see.
5.Which countries do you see as your biggest contenders for the World Cup?
For me the current champions of the world, Romania, the reigning European champions, Serbia, 3 times World Cup finalists, Mexico, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia are also amongst the favourites. There’s many teams who could win it, we need not to forget Kazakhstan, USA and Spain also.
