After the positive results in the mybet 3-Nations-Cup in Sippersfeld (1st and 3rd place for the two German teams) Coaches Mueller and Maak were spoilt for choice of who to announce for the final squad for miniEuro 2015.
Head-coach Mueller explained the decision: “There has not been a single player that would not have deserved to be part of the team. Everybody performed very well on as well as off the pitch. In the end only some little details decided over being part of the squad or staying at home. Since we can only take 14 players with us, the decision was a very hard one. At this point I want to thank everybody for their commendable behavior and emphasize, that everybody has a new chance next year!”
The president of the German Association, Christoph Koechy, added:“It has been a very hard decision for our coaches since we had such a high quality at the tournament in Sippersfeld. Now, assuming that we don´t have to deal with any injuries prior to Vrsar, we can totally focus on the necessary preparations. We are very determined to achieve our aims!”
