FC BPN Bratislava has become the new champion of Slovakia in minifootball! In an exciting final held at the stadium in Banská Bystrica, FC BPN Bratislava emerged as the best, defeating their opponent and claiming the Slovak championship title.
Banská Bystrica hosted the Niké Slovak Minifootball Championship once again after a successful campaign in 2023. In the battle for the final, TO-DAY Hydrokres Prešov first faced Vakatanka Košice. In this Eastern Slovakia derby, Vakatanka won and made it to the final with a narrow 1:0 victory.
In the second semifinal between FC BPN and ZEL Martin, no goals were scored in regular time, so penalty kicks had to decide the outcome. The players of FC BPN secured their place in the final through the penalty shootout.
In the final of the Niké Slovak Minifootball Championship 2024, FC BPN Bratislava faced Vakatanka Košice. In this West versus East clash, the first half ended goalless at 0:0. In the second half, FC BPN took the lead with a goal from Štefanec.
Vakatanka tried to equalize in the following minutes, but BPN’s defense was flawless. Bratislava managed to defend their one-goal lead until the end of the match. After winning the Niké Winter Cup, they can now celebrate their Slovak championship title as well.
