EMF Champions League Day 2 started

The second morning of the EMF Champions League saw 22 teams taking the fields of Playgreen Maribor Pohorje. All groups have now entered into the last round of the group stage.

At 9 o’clock Slovenian Siskarji took the field against Golden Boys Bacau. The latter highly dominated the game and came out of the clash with a well-deserved 7:1 win.

“We won all our three games, and next we will play with the runner-up of one of the groups. We hope to win that game too, and really hope to go to till the final.” said Beceru Tiberiu of the Romanian team.

In the most exciting match of the morning, Greece’s Amigos FC defeated 4 ASA LISIČIĆ. The supporters of the teams saw 17 goals during the 40 minutes of the match that ended with an amazing 8:9 final score.

Titiboys of Spain played a 2:2 draw with local ŠD Prežganje. “The level of teams is high, it is a difficult competition. At this game, both teams played similarly. Unfortunately, we finished here, but we want to say thank you to all the people involved.” added Pablo Izquierdo.

In Group O, Dadi Export beat MFC Bulgari 4:1, securing 7 points to their account and a place in the next round of the tournament.

“It was a tough game against the Bulgarian boys; both teams got several yellow cards. But we finished in the top two places of the group, and qualified for the next round.” said Samir Adrović of Dadi Export.

In Group N, HSC International Graz overcame Kazakhstan’s Standart at the end of an exciting game. The 2:0 victory granted the top place of the group for the Austrian side.

“We won against one of the favourites today. It was a rough game, but we had a happy end. Now we really hope to win the next game as well” said Werner Koller.
