Champions League’s best 16 is taking shape

The day continued with the penalty shootouts. After winning their respective shootouts, FC Bolzing and Ostravský Zábřeh proceed to the next round of the tournament.

Next, FC Bolzing were facing Florgrade / R STAR of Portugal in the first knockout match, while SB Sabornog played Standart of Kazakhstan. Both matches finished with penalty shootouts once again, as the teams drew in normal time.

At the end, Florgrade / R STAR and Standart proceed to last 32 phase.

In the round of the best 32, NK Kapela secured a place between the best 16 groups after defeating DOK Šabac 3:2. NK Kapela’s winning goal came from Dejan Kos in the last, 40th minute.

“We won against the Serbia team. It was a tough game, but we played very good. Serbia had very good players. But we also have very passionate fans, so we want to go to the top” said Dejan Kos.

FC Letka defeated Gold ins Sofia by penalties, after the normal time ended with a 3:3 draw. ZAMM overcame MFK Neftochimik by penalties as well. Hungary’s Aramis SE-Mad Dogs secured their place in the next round with a comfortable 3:1 win against Premiersoft-Autodriver.

The match Szigetszentmiklós VS Golden Boys ended with penalties as well, at the end of which the Hungarian side came out on top. Dadi Export beat HSC Internationale Graz with a 10th-minute goal. The 1:0 result granted them a place in the next phase.

The Czech Restaurace u Pecků Praha and Polimark UNISOL Group of Serbia also qualified for the phase of last 16.
