ATHENA has the main aim to increase female participation in sport governance and administration and to present walking sports as a valuable health enhancing physical activity for elderly. It will not only set up a wide European network for educating trainers and administrators in walking sports in 5 European countries, but it will guide them to build and coach walking sport teams.
Yesterday was an important milestone of the collaborative partnership lead by EMF, as EMF Vice President Gianluca Finazzi and EMF general secretary Ivan Ivanov participated in online kickoff meeting together with other European partner organizations.
