From 16 to 18 July 2021, the second meeting of the Quest project, part of the EU-supported Erasmus+ program in the field of sports, took place in Sardinia.

The Italian ENDAS partners hosted the meeting where all participating partners:

o Presented the results of the surveys among the partner organizations

o Presented and summarized the good practices of external professional associations

o Presented the result of the open communication with the universities according to the target groups

o Exchange ideas, brainstorm in an open discussion how each project partner can adopt different working models

o Clarification of requirements and process regarding intellectual developments (content creation in QUEST ROOM) WP3

During the meeting, one of the main activities of work package 2 was finalized and presented. The study report, which explores good communication practices and working models between sports associations and other stakeholders in partner countries.

Based on the survey and outcome report, the actual needs of the professional sports associations were assessed and the message to academia was structured with the aim of expanding their reach and overall acceptance by the younger generation.

The results of the survey report helped to understand the functions of professional sports associations, including key functions and sub-functions, and to identify gaps between them. The report shows how professional associations establish their communication message and visual identity in order to reach a mass audience and especially to attract the younger generation, and also partially answers the question: are associations ready to meet the changes in the perceptions of more the young generation to motivate him for more sports?
