Four months before EMF EURO 2018 kick off, the city of Kiev and the Ukrainian government have committed last week to support the Ukrainian minifootball association and the EMF in the organization of EMF EURO 2018 set to take place in Kiev between August 12-18.
Following a meeting held last week in Kiev city hall led by Kiev first vice-mayor, Mykola Povorosnik, the support for the event entered a new level. Not only is EURO 2018 the first time that the EURO is taking place in a major European city, but it is also the first time in EMF EURO history where all major stakeholders in the host country are involved in the event.
Following the meeting in city hall, EMF chief operating officer, Jakub Štefek together with Massimo Seghezzi from SitInSport inspected the city of sports complex to check technical aspects of adapting the existing minifootball stadium to EMF EURO standards.
In addition to the venue inspection the local organizing committee has agreed with Ukrainian Football Federation to host the EMF EURO draw in the its headquarter’s conference hall. The halls seats 110 people and has been used for FIFA and UEFA events with all the amenities for a fantastic draw ceremony. The draw will take place in May 11th and will be transmitted live on EMF channels.
