All 19 groups and 3 senior groups are set at the end of an exciting draw ceremony, marking the start of this year’s edition of EMF Champions League and Seniors Champions League in Terme Čatež, Slovenia.
The opening draw ceremony brought all participating minifootball teams into the sporthall of Hotel Toplice this evening. By 8 pm the ceremony room was filled with excited players and staff all waiting for the most important event of the evening, the draw.
After all 22 represented nations were greeted, the draw ceremony was opened by the welcome speech of Terme Čatež’s Tournament Director Mr. Rok Capl and EMF President Mr. Dávid Tibor. On behalf of the organising team, Mr. Attila Takács and Mr. Jakub Štefek have explained the process of the draw to the audience, before the official draw started by putting last year’s Champions Aramis Mad Dogs into position A1.
After all 76 teams have found out who their opponents will be during the tournament’s first stage, the draw for EMF Senior Champions League started. Here 12 teams from 6 countries were drawn into 3 groups of four.
As a closure for the opening draw ceremony, the official EMF Champions League ball – the ADIDAS Krasava – was presented to the audience.
The first matches of the Champions League will start at 9 am on Friday.
