Czech Minifootball National Team was invited to Tunisia to play a friendly match against a squad made up for the best players from that country. After a busy and challenging program Saturday afternoon was time for the showdown. Berges Lake Club, a superb venue, which is a home for Tunisian Minifootball National Team, has offered full stands, TV stream, great atmosphere – you could feel high expectations in the air.

The spectators had a chance to see two different styles of play. Tunisians played heartily and with maximum devotion. Czechs responded quickly to the Tunisian opening goal and made half-time score 1:2. After the break Tunisia equalized, but Stanislav Marik´s 2nd goal of the night put Czech team into the lead again. And even when European Rank 2nd team has thrown away all other chances, final score after the final whistle stayed 2:3.

Coach Stanislav Bejda said: “We have tested 3 players from U21 team and this match was a great chance for them to taste senior team level and get valuable experience. For us it was useful test to see some new candidates in action towards final nomination on EMF EURO 2016 in Hungary.” Team leader Jakub Stefek added: “I want to thank Mr. Ben Achraf Salha for inviting us to Tunisia. We have enjoyed the whole trip with all off-pitch program, training sessions, service and hospitality. We have only positive words to say about Tunisia and wish the national and local minifootball teams all the best in the future!“

Due to this occasion many important meetings had taken place before the match. WMF governance, Mr. Filip Juda and Mr. Ben Achraf Salha promoted minifootball across political spectrum and in other African countries.
