On the grounds of sport and recreation ground at Ivanic Grad on Sunday, August 23, there was a friendly tournament between the Croatian national team, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

First place went to Croatia, who recorded two wins, with Serbia in second and B and H, who were third. For all three teams was this very useful preparation for the European Championship to be held in September in Vrsar, and in particular for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, as they  played their first first international matches.

The tournament was organized by the Croatian minifootball association with a clear idea ;minifootball unites and connects, encourages tolerance and equality. It was in that tone that the tournament took place.

Tvrtko Močibob, Croatian menu:

– The results show that we are easily won, but it was not so, we have to improve our game. We were not at the level, the boys weren’t  ‘grizzly’ enough. But we missed a couple of very important players, so I gave everyone a chance to play, and many changes have taken their toll.

Zoran Zdravkovic, Serbian Association minifudbala:

– It was a fantastic event, we are delighted with the hospitality and look forward to what will come next year. Thank you to the organizers!

Josip Kupreskic, menu / player of Bosnia and Herzegovina:

– This is really needed, and these two matches will help us greatly in the preparations for the European Championship. Thanks hosts and see you next year.

Bruno Alpeza, president of the Croatian association mininogometnog:

– This tournament is an indication that we need to cultivate relationships and promote tolerance and peace. I’m proud of all the team players, as well as the spectators who accompanied with applause every good move. We want this event to become a tradition and every year it gets better. Thanks to my staff on a job well done, because it was really difficult in the short term to organize this event, especially because we’re now in the final preparations for this year’s European Championship in Vrsar. Thanks to the representations of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina as they came in Ivanic Grad, and I’m very glad to be back next year.

RESULTS:

Bosnia and Herzegovina – Serbia 1: 2 (Vujica / Tešanović Veljkovic)

Croatia – Serbia 3: 0 (Smok, Popov, Korenika)

Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina 1: 0 (Smok)
