The great and the good of the European Minifootball Federation were all together in Poland this weekend, where they met for the first time since miniEURO.

There were a series of important meetings throughout the weekend where first the Executive Committee and then a General Assembly of all members met to discuss various issues including topics such as:

The venues for miniEURO 2014 and 2015
The strategy for the European Minifootball Federation moving forward into 2014
A review of miniEURO 2013
And developments of National Associations.

EMF President Razvan Burleanu said such meetings were vital in terms of bringing everyone together: “As members we speak frequently anyway, but it is extremely important to meet face to face to discuss these issues. There is only so much you can do via Skype and email and the contact between us all is very important.”

The meeting in Wroclaw was the first time the members of the EMF have met up together since miniEURO 2013 in Rethmyno and gave everyone the chance to have a discussion about the event, with Mr Burleanu adding: “There were meetings during the tournament itself, but everyone was grateful for the opportunity to have the chance to reflect and put some great ideas forward in an open forum.”
Many of the associations comprising the EMF have undergone periods of unprecedented growth. Speaking of the successful year the President said: “We are attracting thousands of new members each month and that seems to be the case all over Europe. It is a bumper time for minifootball and a very exciting period.”

The venues and dates for miniEURO 2014 and 2015 will be finalised and announced in the early spring.
